Built for players who want a powerful, versatile foundation with plenty of tonal range, this five-string bass combines a flamed maple and alder body with a 34-inch scale for familiar feel and solid string tension. The bolt-on construction keeps the response immediate and punchy, while the satin-finished five-piece maple and mahogany neck feels smooth and comfortable in the hand. A rosewood fingerboard with a generous 23 5/8-inch radius, 24 medium frets, and a comfortable 1.7-inch nut width provides plenty of room for everything from tight grooves to extended-range lines.

Two double-coil Alnico V pickups give the bass a strong, articulate voice with plenty of depth and definition across its extended range. The control layout puts a Master Volume and Pickup Balancer at your fingertips, along with an active three-band EQ for shaping bass, middle, and treble frequencies to suit everything from a tight studio mix to a full stage rig. An active/passive switch adds another layer of flexibility, letting you move between the focused control of active electronics and a more direct, natural response whenever the song calls for it.

A die-cast bridge with 18mm string spacing and covered die-cast tuning machines provide a dependable hardware foundation, while the D'Addario EXL170-5 string set is ready to deliver the punch and low-end authority that make a five-string so useful.
