The Yamaha NTX5 brings the expressive warmth of a nylon-string guitar into a sleek, performance-ready design that feels familiar to electric guitarists and steel-string players. Its comfortable APX-style body offers an easy-playing feel, while the solid spruce top delivers a clear, responsive voice with plenty of dynamic detail. Solid walnut back and sides add depth and balance, creating a sound that works beautifully for delicate fingerstyle passages, rich chord voicings, and more contemporary nylon-string arrangements. With its elegant natural finish, abalone-accented soundhole, and understated modern styling, the NTX5 feels equally at home on stage or in the studio.
The mahogany neck and 24-fret ebony fingerboard provide a smooth, familiar playing experience, with a nut width that makes the transition to nylon strings approachable without sacrificing room for expressive technique. The scale length offers a balanced response, while the matte neck finish helps the fretting hand move comfortably through longer performances. Ebony and walnut come together in the bridge, while bone nut and saddle components contribute to a clear, articulate acoustic response. Practical strap buttons make it easy to move naturally on stage, giving performing guitarists the freedom to play standing up without adapting their setup around a traditional classical guitar.
Where the NTX5 really shines is its Atmosfeel pickup system, designed to deliver a natural, dimensional nylon-string sound even at performance-level volumes. Combining an undersaddle pickup, contact sensor, and microphone, it captures the attack, resonance, and air of the instrument with impressive depth, while the master volume, mic blend, and treble EQ provide straightforward control over the amplified sound. Whether you're layering nylon-string textures into a modern band, performing intricate instrumental pieces, or bringing a warmer voice to your live set, the Yamaha NTX5 offers the comfort, versatility, and amplified clarity to make nylon-string playing an effortless part of your musical world. Available now at Haggerty's Music.

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.
