Designed to pay tribute to Bob Taylor’s groundbreaking 1994 Grand Auditorium designs, this Taylor Legacy 714ce Grand Auditorium pairs a Western Red cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides — a tonewood combination not currently found in Taylor’s standard line. The result is a warmly mellow, touch-sensitive voice rich in overtones, with excellent treble clarity and a dynamic response that rewards even the lightest touch.

This Legacy 714ce is crafted with X-bracing featuring a relief rout for vintage-inspired tone, while the modern Taylor neck offers effortless, relaxed fretting. Tasteful aesthetic details such as black body binding, green abalone 6.3mm dot inlays, and a matching abalone rosette reflect Bob Taylor’s understated design philosophy from three decades ago. Equipped with a premium LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system, this guitar is stage-ready with natural-sounding amplified tone. Additional features include a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, Taylor gold tuners, and West African Crelicam ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots.
