Inspired by the custom 5-string Taylor he has relied on for years, the JCSM-5 arrives factory tuned to DAEAD, opening the door to rich harmonic voicings, simplified chord shapes, and entirely new compositional possibilities. Its compact Grand Concert body is crafted from beautifully figured select-grade Hawaiian koa, producing a voice that begins with focused clarity and develops increasing warmth, sweetness, and complexity as the wood matures. The naturally marbled West African Crelicam ebony used for the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate ensures that no two instruments are visually alike, making each guitar truly one of a kind.
