Born from Taylor’s prestigious 800 Series and elevated through the Gold Label collection, this model introduces a modified Grand Pacific body with deeper dimensions for more powerful low-end response and expanded dynamic range. The result is an acoustic guitar that offers both tradition and innovation in perfect harmony — visually stunning, sonically rich, and built for serious players who demand character, clarity, and depth.

At the heart of the 817e SB’s voice is its pairing of a torrefied Sitka spruce top with Honduran rosewood back and sides. Torrefied spruce provides the seasoned warmth and responsiveness of a well-aged instrument, while Honduran rosewood, one of the densest and most resonant tonewoods available, generates a lush, overtone-rich sound with piano-like clarity. Taylor’s V-Class bracing, applied with hot hide glue, ensures long, blooming sustain and impeccable intonation across the fretboard. The addition of Taylor’s Action Control Neck gives players the ability to easily adjust string height from the soundhole — offering pro-level performance and setup flexibility on the fly.
