The Taylor 714 series has long been a favorite among players seeking the tonal magic of spruce and rosewood, and this Gold Label 714e SB takes that tradition to a stunning new level. Built as part of Taylor's ultra-premium Gold Label Collection, this model showcases rare appointments, masterful craftsmanship, and a design rooted in Taylor’s most iconic features. The addition of the new Super Auditorium body, a refined take on the popular Grand Auditorium shape, offers an expanded tonal range, boasting greater bass response and power while maintaining the balance and articulation that have made Taylor acoustics world-renowned. The vintage sunburst finish and engraved firestripe pickguard give it a timeless aesthetic with a boutique flair.
Tonally, this guitar brings together Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce, one of the most celebrated wood pairings in acoustic guitar history. The rosewood offers deep lows, complex overtones, and bell-like trebles, while the torrefied spruce top enhances warmth and responsiveness, offering a broken-in feel and sound from day one. Combined with Taylor's innovative Fanned V-Class bracing, this guitar has an impressively open voice with enhanced projection, incredible sustain, and perfectly aligned intonation across the fretboard. Whether you’re fingerpicking delicate passages or strumming with power, the 714e SB responds with a musicality and nuance that will satisfy even the most discerning ears.
Ideal for singer-songwriters, studio professionals, and performing artists, this model adapts beautifully to a wide range of genres: From folk and fingerstyle to blues, pop, and light rock. The Action Control Neck allows for easy adjustments to suit different playing preferences, making it an excellent instrument for evolving musicians or those who crave an ultra-tailored feel. And when it’s time to plug in, the LR Baggs Element VTC electronics deliver a rich, detailed amplified sound perfect for both live and studio settings. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, it’s not just a guitar; it’s a lifelong musical companion that looks as inspiring as it sounds.
