Its round-shoulder Grand Pacific body — enhanced here with a slightly deeper profile — delivers a commanding low end, rich fundamentals, and a focused, woody response that recalls classic American acoustics.

A torrefied Sitka spruce top gives the 517e a broken-in sweetness right out of the case, while solid tropical mahogany back and sides emphasize a bold, punchy midrange with clear note separation. Inside, fanned V-Class bracing with a tonal rout increases volume, sustain, and intonation consistency across the fretboard. Taylor’s innovative long-tenon Action Control Neck improves neck-to-body coupling for added warmth and resonance, while allowing precise, tool-free string height adjustments — making it easy to dial in the perfect setup in any environment.
