Available now at Haggerty's Music, the Taylor Custom Shop C14e Catch Custom #39 represents the latter: A remarkably exclusive instrument born from Taylor's celebrated annual Catch Custom program. The Catch Custom tradition began in 2015 with an intimate pre-NAMM showcase held for Taylor's premier dealers at The Catch restaurant in Anaheim, California. Although the event has grown significantly over the years, the name remains as a tribute to its origins, and each Catch Custom model continues to be produced in limited numbers using extraordinary tonewoods, custom appointments, and some of the finest craftsmanship ever to leave Taylor's California workshop. Catch Custom #39 perfectly embodies that philosophy, combining heirloom-quality aesthetics with one of Taylor's most sophisticated acoustic platforms.

At its heart is Taylor's expansive Super Auditorium body shape, an evolution of the company's iconic Grand Auditorium that adds greater width, depth, and internal air volume for a richer, more vintage-inspired voice. An Engelmann spruce top pairs beautifully with AA-grade Indian rosewood back and sides, creating a tonal combination revered by discerning players for its remarkable complexity. Compared to Sitka spruce, Engelmann offers a slightly warmer, more responsive attack with enhanced midrange richness, while Indian rosewood contributes thunderous bass, shimmering treble, and lush harmonic overtones. Taylor's innovative Fanned V-Class bracing further elevates the instrument with exceptional sustain, increased projection, improved intonation, and outstanding note-to-note clarity across the entire fingerboard.
