Blending fiery visual flair with Taylor’s renowned innovation and craftsmanship, the Custom Shop C14ce Catch Event #34 Grand Auditorium “Hot Rod” is a bold and unforgettable instrument — available now at Haggerty’s Music. Inspired by the limited-run Hot Rod Guitar (HR-LTD) that debuted at NAMM in 2003, this custom Grand Auditorium model brings back the signature red and yellow flame motif, reimagined with modern tone-enhancing upgrades. A striking bearclaw Sitka spruce top pairs with figured Big Leaf maple back and sides, creating a bright, articulate voice with impressive balance and dynamic response.

Inside, V-Class bracing boosts sustain and harmonic accuracy across the fretboard, making this guitar as sonically powerful as it is visually distinct. The Florentine cutaway adds sleek contours and easy upper-fret access, while a hard rock maple neck with a 1-3/4" nut width and standard Taylor carve ensures smooth playability. Eye-catching yellow satinwood and red bloodwood inlays blaze down the ebony fingerboard and circle the soundhole in a dramatic “Hot Rod Flames” design, matched by a satinwood peghead logo and bound in black. Finished in high-gloss black and outfitted with Taylor satin black tuners and the ES2 pickup system, this unique custom build delivers style, substance, and stage-ready sound in one unforgettable package. A brown deluxe Taylor hardshell case is included.
