Every great instrument begins with a vision, and Taylor’s Custom Shop exists to turn extraordinary ideas into reality. The Gold Label collection represents one of the most exciting chapters in Taylor’s modern history, blending the company’s renowned precision craftsmanship with a warmer, more mature tonal personality inspired by some of the most beloved acoustic instruments of the past. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, this Taylor Custom Shop #C0712 Gold Label Super Auditorium is an exceptional example of that philosophy, pairing rare and visually stunning tonewoods with elegant custom appointments and a voice that is both powerful and remarkably expressive. From its Premium Striped Sinker Redwood top to its highly figured Grade-A Hawaiian Koa back and sides, every element of this guitar was selected to create an instrument that is as inspiring to look at as it is to play.
At the heart of this custom build is Taylor’s innovative Super Auditorium body shape. Combining the comfort of a Grand Auditorium with increased air volume and projection, the Super Auditorium produces a larger, more expansive voice while retaining excellent balance across the tonal spectrum. The Premium Striped Sinker Redwood top delivers exceptional responsiveness with a mature, played-in character right out of the case. Notes bloom effortlessly with rich harmonic complexity, while the highly figured Hawaiian Koa back and sides contribute warmth, shimmering overtones, and a beautifully focused midrange. Together, these woods create a dynamic tonal palette that responds equally well to delicate fingerstyle passages, vocal accompaniment, and full-bodied strumming.
The visual presentation is every bit as impressive as the sound. The striking Kona Burst finish accentuates the dramatic grain of the sinker redwood top, while figured maple binding frames the instrument with understated elegance. Custom Euro Deco Cocobolo and Boxwood inlays on both the fingerboard and headstock add a sophisticated Art Deco-inspired aesthetic that perfectly complements the guitar’s premium materials. The Florentine cutaway enhances upper-fret access while lending a refined custom-shop appearance, and the satin-finished mahogany neck provides a smooth, effortless playing experience that invites hours of comfortable performance.
Whether on stage, in the studio, or as the centerpiece of a discerning collection, this custom Gold Label model delivers a unique combination of vintage-inspired warmth and modern Taylor precision. The L.R. Baggs Element VTC electronics faithfully reproduce the guitar’s natural acoustic character when amplified, making it equally at home under stage lights or in front of a microphone. Complete with a deluxe hardshell case, this one-of-a-kind Custom Shop creation embodies the artistry, innovation, and attention to detail that have made Taylor one of the most respected names in acoustic guitars.

How accurate are your condition descriptions?
