The Suhr Modern Antique Limited Edition in Daphne Blue is a stunning fusion of vintage character and cutting-edge precision. Designed to capture the visual soul of a well-loved instrument while delivering flawless modern performance, this guitar is part of a limited run that highlights Suhr’s masterful craftsmanship. The Modern Antique concept was born to offer players the aesthetic charm of light aging and lacquer wear, paired with high-performance specs like stainless steel frets, a compound radius fretboard, and versatile electronics. The lightly aged Daphne Blue finish over a basswood body with a maple top adds visual character and vintage vibe, while ensuring tonal balance and responsiveness.
Under the hood, this guitar is a sonic powerhouse. The trio of pickups — an SSV humbucker in the neck, V63 Plus single coil in the middle, and an SSH Plus in the bridge — are tailored to offer wide-ranging tones from sweet cleans to high-gain aggression. The 5-way selector, coil-split via push/pull tone knob, and blower switch give you studio-grade flexibility right from your volume and tone controls. Whether you're playing fusion, modern rock, blues, or experimental textures, the Modern Antique adapts effortlessly, delivering clarity and punch with every note.
Built with gigging professionals and tone chasers in mind, the Modern Antique sports a roasted flame maple neck and fingerboard for added stability and warmth, as well as Suhr’s two-post tremolo system with bent saddles for expressive pitch control. The stainless-steel frets and locking tuners ensure smooth playability and rock-solid tuning, even during aggressive bending or trem use. From its flawless construction to its aged aesthetic and tonal range, the Suhr Modern Antique is a top-tier instrument for players who want old-school mojo with uncompromising modern performance. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
