Great guitars have a way of feeling familiar from the very first chord, yet inspiring you to play beyond what you thought possible. Available now at Haggerty's Music, this Suhr Custom Shop Classic S Antique captures the timeless spirit of a vintage S-style instrument while delivering the precision, reliability, and effortless playability that have made Suhr one of the most respected names in boutique electric guitars. Finished in an elegant Firemist Gold lacquer with tasteful light aging, it looks like a well-loved classic while performing with thoroughly modern consistency.
Built around a resonant two-piece alder body and a substantial maple neck carved to Suhr's comfortable Even C Fat profile, this Classic S Antique offers exceptional balance and feel. The compound 9"–12" fingerboard radius with Standard Roll edges and heavy stainless steel frets makes everything from vintage-inspired chord work to wide bends and modern lead playing feel natural and effortless. Premium appointments, including Suhr locking tuners, a recessed two-post tremolo with bent saddles and steel block, and flawless Custom Shop craftsmanship, ensure rock-solid tuning stability and exceptional performance on stage or in the studio.
Sonically, this guitar delivers outstanding versatility. A pair of V63 Plus single-coils provides all the articulate sparkle, chime, and dynamic response players expect from a great vintage-style instrument, while the SSV IV bridge humbucker adds warmth, punch, and singing sustain without sacrificing clarity. Suhr's SSCII Silent Single Coil system dramatically reduces traditional single-coil hum while preserving authentic tone, giving you vintage character with modern practicality. Whether you're playing blues, country, classic rock, funk, pop, worship, or fusion, this Custom Shop Classic S Antique is built to inspire every time you plug in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you set up every guitar before it ships?
Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.

Yes, and we encourage it. Our team are working musicians, not order-takers. Call us at 605-348-6737 and ask about any instrument in our inventory. We will physically pull it off the wall and describe it to you in detail.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 14-day return policy if you change your mind and the item is returned undamaged. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
