The Squier Paranormal Stratocaster Deluxe takes the familiar comfort and unmistakable character of a Strat and gives it a little more attitude. The classic body contours still feel instantly natural, but the oversized ’70s-style headstock and Deluxe-inspired appointments give this Strat a distinctive personality of its own. Plug it in and the Fender Designed Telecaster-style neck pickup delivers plenty of snap and clarity, while the bridge humbucker brings a thicker, more muscular voice when you want to turn things up.
That pickup combination makes this a particularly versatile Strat. The neck pickup has the crisp, articulate character that works beautifully for clean chords, rhythm playing and bluesy lines, while the bridge humbucker adds punch and saturation for rock riffs and lead work. Pull up on the tone control to split the humbucker and you can move into brighter, more single-coil-like territory, giving you even more sounds without making the guitar complicated. The comfortable C-shaped neck and smooth satin finish make it easy to move around the fingerboard, and the vintage-style tremolo adds the expressive pitch movement players expect from a Strat.
