Born from Schecter’s relentless pursuit of performance-driven design, the Custom Shop Sunset Extreme-6 FR HSS is a striking example of what happens when boutique craftsmanship meets modern player demands. Schecter’s Custom Shop has built its reputation on producing instruments that go beyond standard production — tailored for serious musicians who expect precision, reliability, and individuality. The Sunset Extreme line, with its sleek superstrat silhouette and high-performance specs, has become a favorite among players who need speed, versatility, and cutting-edge tone.
This particular build stands out immediately thanks to its exotic white ebony top, finished in a Trans Black Burst that highlights the dramatic grain patterns beneath. Paired with a swamp ash body, this guitar delivers a resonant and dynamic tonal foundation — tight lows, airy highs, and a slightly scooped midrange that works beautifully for modern styles. It’s a tonewood combination that feels alive under your hands, responding quickly to both subtle dynamics and aggressive playing.
The HSS pickup configuration makes this instrument exceptionally versatile. With Brimstone single coils in the neck and middle positions, you get crisp, articulate cleans and glassy tones perfect for funk, blues, and ambient textures. Switch to the bridge humbucker, and the guitar roars with high-output clarity and punch — ideal for rock, metal, and fusion. Add in the push/pull coil split and 5-way switching, and you have a wide tonal palette that can cover nearly any genre with confidence.
Performance is further enhanced by the Floyd Rose tremolo system, offering expressive pitch control without sacrificing tuning stability. The ultra-thin “C” neck profile, stainless steel frets, and 16” radius fingerboard make fast, technical playing feel effortless, while premium details like glow-in-the-dark side dots and a spoke wheel truss rod adjustment ensure practicality on stage. Complete with a hardshell case and Schecter accessories, this one-of-a-kind instrument is available now at Haggerty’s Music.
