This Santa Cruz 00 Acoustic showcases the refined craftsmanship and tonal balance that have defined the Santa Cruz Guitar Company for decades. A beautiful combination of tonewoods shapes the character of this instrument. A Sitka spruce top provides clarity, warmth, and dynamic headroom, while the back and sides are crafted from rare Mun ebony sourced from Laos. This striking wood, now critically endangered and banned for export, was responsibly reclaimed for use in this guitar. Mun ebony brings visual depth with its dramatic figuring while contributing a focused, articulate response that complements the balanced voice of the smaller-bodied 00 design.

Santa Cruz’s commitment to traditional construction methods further enhances the instrument’s tone and longevity. Scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing joined with hot hide glue allows the top to resonate freely, producing exceptional responsiveness and complexity. Over time, these carefully selected and slow-grown tonewoods continue to open up, rewarding players with increased depth and richness as the instrument matures.

The ebony fingerboard features mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays, while the slotted headstock is crowned with a striking abalone torch inlay that adds a classic, heirloom-quality touch.
