Now available at Haggerty’s Music, the Reverend Vernon Reid Totem Series - Talisman is a visionary instrument that merges art, symbolism, and uncompromising performance. Designed in collaboration with Living Colour’s Vernon Reid, this guitar is a true work of art, featuring graphics inspired by Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious Theory, Joseph Campbell’s The Hero’s Journey, and artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Romare Bearden. Adorned with West African Adinkra symbols on the pickups and headstock and American Hobo symbols on the fretboard, it’s a bold statement piece that tells a deeper story of journey, struggle, and triumph.
Beyond its striking visuals, the Talisman is a performance-driven powerhouse. Built with a Korina solidbody, three-piece Korina neck, and a fast-playing ebony fingerboard, it offers a perfect balance of resonance, sustain, and comfort. The Railhammer Vernon Reid Signature pickups deliver exceptional clarity, dynamic response, and punchy articulation, while the Floyd Rose 1000 Series Pro tremolo ensures rock-solid tuning stability for expressive dive bombs and subtle vibrato. Whether you're crafting funk-infused grooves or unleashing high-gain riffs, this guitar responds with harmonic richness, singing lead tones, and powerful chord voicings. The Reverend Vernon Reid Totem Series - Talisman is more than just an instrument—it's a collectible art piece that plays and sounds just as incredible as it looks. Find yours today at Haggerty’s Music!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you set up every guitar before it ships?
Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.
