Designed in collaboration with pop-punk guitarist Matt West, this signature model reflects the high-energy demands of modern punk and alternative rock. West needed a guitar that could withstand relentless touring while delivering powerful, consistent tone night after night. The result is the Wiz-1: a stripped-down performance instrument that focuses on raw tone, durability, and effortless playability.

The guitar’s bold reverse body design gives the Wiz-1 a distinctive visual attitude while maintaining Reverend’s signature comfort and balance. A resonant Korina body — a wood prized for its lively harmonic response and balanced tonal character — pairs with a three-piece Korina neck for sustain and stability. The roasted maple fingerboard adds snap and articulation, while the comfortable Medium Oval neck profile and 24.75" scale length provide a familiar feel for players moving between classic rock, punk, and alternative styles.

At the heart of the Wiz-1 is Reverend’s exclusive HCL bridge pickup, an uncovered high-output humbucker powered by a large ceramic magnet. This pickup is engineered for thick, aggressive distortion with excellent harmonic complexity — perfect for driving high-gain amps and cutting through dense mixes. Keeping with Matt West’s performance-first philosophy, the control layout is intentionally simple: a single volume knob lets players focus entirely on their playing.
