The Reverend Greg Koch Gristle 90 expands the ever-growing “Gristle-verse” of signature instruments designed in collaboration with legendary guitarist Greg Koch. Known for his explosive blend of blues, country, rock, and jaw-dropping technique, Koch worked closely with Reverend and pickup innovator Fishman to create a guitar that delivers classic soapbar punch with modern flexibility. The result is a bold, expressive instrument that merges vintage character with cutting-edge electronics and performance features.

Built around the familiar Gristlemaster body shape, the Gristle 90 features a resonant Korina body with strategic chambering for enhanced sustain and lively response. Its three-piece Korina set neck and ebony fingerboard provide a smooth, fast playing surface with excellent articulation and stability. The 24.75" scale length adds warmth and slinky playability, making the guitar feel equally at home for blues bends, rock leads, and twangy country licks. The striking Tosa Turquoise finish gives the instrument a distinctive stage presence that matches its bold voice.

At the heart of the Gristle 90 are a pair of Fishman Greg Koch Gristle 90 pickups, designed to capture the dynamic midrange punch of Reverend’s classic 9A5 soapbar tone while remaining hum-free and remarkably articulate. A built-in midrange boost adds extra grit and bite at the push of a button, while the push-pull phase switch unlocks even more tonal textures. Combined with the Bigsby B-50 vibrato system and Reverend’s rock-solid hardware, this guitar offers vintage feel, modern versatility, and enough tonal personality to satisfy players across blues, rock, roots, and beyond.
