The PRS SE David Grissom Standard takes the soulful character of David Grissom’s signature model and pairs it with the warm, resonant voice of an all-mahogany build for a guitar that feels immediately alive in the hands. Available in a rich McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finish, the SE DGT Standard carries a timeless, understated look that perfectly matches its organic, player-focused personality. There’s a fullness and warmth to the way this guitar responds that makes every chord bloom naturally, while single notes carry a smooth, vocal quality that feels equally suited for expressive lead work and dynamic rhythm playing.
The SE DGT Standard strikes an impressive balance between vintage-inspired warmth and modern clarity. The DGT “S” pickups deliver a thick, harmonically rich midrange with enough bite and articulation to cut through a mix without ever sounding sterile or overly compressed. Clean tones feel round and responsive with a touch of sweetness in the top end, while pushed amp settings bring out a gritty, singing sustain that works beautifully for blues, classic rock, roots music, and beyond. The individual volume controls allow players to shape the response of each pickup independently, creating a level of tonal flexibility that encourages experimentation and rewards nuanced playing.
The feel of the guitar is where the DGT Standard really shines. The mahogany neck feels substantial and comfortable without becoming bulky, and the PRS tremolo system adds a smooth, expressive response while maintaining impressive tuning stability. Every detail feels designed around musicality and touch sensitivity, giving the instrument a natural, broken-in feel that makes it difficult to put down. Whether on stage, in the studio, or during long practice sessions at home, the SE DGT Standard delivers warmth, versatility, and unmistakable PRS refinement in a package built to inspire. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you set up every guitar before it ships?
Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument.
