The PRS 40th Anniversary Special Semi-Hollow Limited Edition celebrates four decades of innovation with a striking blend of tone, artistry, and versatility. Finished in a stunning custom blue and gray flame over an artist grade figured maple top, this limited run instrument pairs elegant visual appointments with a lively semi-hollow voice. With a limited number of models produced worldwide, it stands as a true collector’s piece while remaining a deeply expressive player’s guitar.

Its semi-hollow construction features a resonant black limba back and neck paired with that beautifully figured maple top, giving the instrument warmth, clarity, and an airy openness that responds dynamically to touch. The 25-inch scale length, Pattern neck carve, and smooth Honduran rosewood fretboard create a comfortable, familiar feel that invites long sessions of exploration while offering effortless movement across all 22 frets.

At the heart of the guitar is an incredibly flexible pickup layout: PRS McCarty III humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions with a PRS Narrowfield pickup in the middle. Paired with a 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil taps, the guitar unlocks twelve distinct tonal combinations. From thick, vintage-inspired humbucker warmth to articulate single-coil sparkle, the Special Semi-Hollow moves easily between styles while keeping its volume balance remarkably consistent.

Classic PRS craftsmanship completes the instrument with the Gen III patented tremolo for smooth, stable performance and Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons for precise tuning and resonance.
