Blending the innovation of a boutique builder with the energy of Southern California culture, the Powers Electric A-Type is a radical rethink of the electric guitar. Designed by Andy Powers (best known for transforming Taylor Guitars), the A-Type draws inspiration from San Diego’s surf, skate, auto, and music scenes. Its slim, trussed hollowbody design delivers a rare combination of resonance and lightweight comfort, all while offering excellent sustain and feedback control.

This version features the PF42 pickups — a Partial Faraday single-coil set designed for enhanced brightness and punch — making it an excellent choice for players who want a bit more edge and articulation in their tone. The asymmetrical fretboard radius, Powers Electric neck carve, and jumbo frets contribute to effortless playability, whether you're chording or bending high notes.
