The Novo Serus S takes the familiar feel of a classic solidbody and gives it the unmistakable character of a Novo. This guitar pairs a tempered pine body with a heavily distressed Sherwood Green finish, creating an instrument that looks comfortably broken-in from the start. A matching Serus headstock, tortoise pickguard, vintage cream appointments, and distressed nickel hardware add to the vintage-inspired personality, while the tempered maple Medium C neck has a smooth satin finish that feels natural and easy in the hand.
The all-Fralin SSS pickup configuration keeps the Serus S bright, expressive, and remarkably versatile. Three Strat-style single-coils deliver the kind of articulate response that works beautifully for everything from clean rhythm parts and sparkling chords to pushed amps and singing lead tones, with the five-way blade making it easy to move between familiar tonal combinations. The straightforward volume and tone controls keep the interface simple, letting the guitar's natural character and dynamic response do the talking.
With the scale, rosewood fingerboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, and an unbleached bone nut, the Serus S has a comfortable playing feel that sits somewhere between vintage familiarity and modern refinement. The Wilkinson vintage tremolo adds expressive pitch control without complicating the design, and the tempered woods, heavy distressing, and carefully chosen appointments give this Serus S a personality all its own. It's a great fit for players who want the immediacy of a classic three-single-coil guitar with the distinctive look, feel, and craftsmanship of Novo. Available now at Haggerty's Music.
