The Nash Wayfarer takes inspiration from the bold styling of late-’50s and early-’60s automotive design, blending retro aesthetics with modern versatility. Its distinctive offset shape stands apart from traditional designs while still feeling immediately familiar in the hands. Built around a semi-hollow alder body, the Wayfarer offers a lively, resonant character with reduced weight, making it equally comfortable for long rehearsals, studio sessions, or nights on stage. It's open pickguard and Ice Blue Metallic allow it to shift visually between a sleek solid-body appearance and a more traditional thinline-inspired look.
What truly sets the Wayfarer apart is its remarkable tonal flexibility. The three-humbucker layout delivers everything from thick, punchy overdrive to articulate clean tones. The DiMarzio Bluesbuckers in the neck and middle positions are particularly impressive, offering convincing single-coil character when split, complete with the airy sparkle and quack players typically associate with vintage-style S-style guitars. Switch back to full humbucking mode, and the guitar delivers warmth, power, and sustain without compromise.
Despite its broad tonal palette, the Wayfarer never loses sight of playability. Nash has engineered the semi-hollow construction to retain the sustain and responsiveness of a solid-body instrument while adding a touch of openness and resonance. Combined with the Air Norton bridge pickup’s smooth output and the low-string-pull design of the entire pickup set, the result is a guitar that feels expressive, dynamic, and exceptionally responsive. For players seeking something visually unique without sacrificing familiar feel and versatility, the Wayfarer offers a refreshing take on the modern electric guitar. Available at Haggerty's Music.
