Some guitars are built to recreate history, while others reinterpret it with a level of craftsmanship that makes them feel timeless from the very first note. Available now at Haggerty's Music, the Maybach Convair Masterbuilt embodies that philosophy by blending classic single-cut design with boutique European craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Every contour, finish, and carefully selected component reflects Maybach's commitment to building instruments that look, feel, and sound like lifelong companions.
The Convair Masterbuilt is more than a vintage-inspired electric: It is a celebration of traditional luthiery combined with premium modern components. Its aged British Racing Green finish carries the character of a well-loved instrument, while the carved maple top over a solid Khaya mahogany body delivers warmth, sustain, and exceptional resonance. Pearl-style goldflake binding, stylized pickup covers, and elegant gold hardware complete a visual package that feels both luxurious and authentically road worn.
Equally impressive is the playing experience. The substantial Khaya mahogany neck provides a confident, vintage-inspired feel, while the rosewood fingerboard offers effortless comfort across the entire 24.75" scale. A pair of Amber Spirit of '59 humbuckers captures the articulate, dynamic voice of late-1950s PAF-style pickups, producing everything from warm cleans to harmonically rich overdrive with remarkable touch sensitivity. Premium CTS electronics, a Switchcraft three-way toggle, and GOTOH hardware ensure dependable performance whether on stage or in the studio.
From its intentional aging treatment to its carefully selected appointments, every aspect of this Masterbuilt instrument has been designed with purpose. Complete with a fitted hardshell case, the Maybach Convair Masterbuilt offers discerning players a boutique-quality instrument that honors the past while inspiring the next chapter of its musical journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you set up every guitar before it ships?
Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.
