The Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe honors one of the most influential acoustic guitars ever built while embracing the innovations that define the future of acoustic performance. Available now at Haggerty's Music, this premium Dreadnought pairs the unmistakable voice of a classic D-28 with a collection of modern refinements that enhance resonance, comfort, and responsiveness without sacrificing the legendary Martin character players have trusted for generations. It is a guitar designed for musicians who appreciate tradition but refuse to stand still.
Its European red spruce top, treated with Martin's Vintage Tone System, delivers the openness, warmth, and responsiveness typically associated with a well-played vintage instrument. Combined with forward-shifted Golden Era-style Adirondack spruce scalloped X-bracing, natural protein glue construction, a lightweight carbon fiber bridge plate, and innovative Liquidmetal bridge pins, the result is exceptional sustain, remarkable projection, and extraordinary tonal balance. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides provide the rich bass, sparkling trebles, and lush harmonic overtones that have made the D-28 the benchmark against which countless acoustic guitars are measured.
Elegant appointments complete this modern masterpiece with understated sophistication. A comfortable Vintage Deluxe neck with High-Performance Taper and a subtly asymmetrical profile is paired with EVO gold frets for smooth, durable playability, while European flamed maple binding, a 1933-style pearl script logo, gold Waverly open-gear tuners, and classic Style 28 appointments reinforce its timeless visual appeal. Protected by a Martin ply hardshell case, the D-28 Modern Deluxe stands as a remarkable fusion of heritage craftsmanship and forward-thinking design.

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument.
