Inspired by real-world performance needs — including conversations with players like jazz prodigy Julian Lage — JHS rebuilt the circuit around a studio-grade parallel clean blend. Instead of simply tacking on a mix knob, the Clean control uses a dual-gang potentiometer that scales the clean and drive signals proportionally. That means no volume jumps, no phase issues, and no compromise. As you increase Drive, you can dial the Clean back in to restore low-end authority and articulation, achieving the feel of a high-wattage amp pushed to the edge of breakup — without punishing stage volume.

Internally, the Morning Glory Clean runs on a ±9V dual supply for dramatically increased headroom compared to traditional Bluesbreaker-style pedals. The Tone control affects only the overdrive path, leaving your clean signal completely untouched in parallel.
