The JHS Pedals Haunting Mids is the secret weapon for players who know exactly what their tone is missing but can't quite find it on the amp. This sweepable mids EQ lets you hunt down the frequencies that are getting lost, bring them forward, or carve them away when your sound starts getting too congested. With up to 15dB of boost or cut and a huge sweepable range, it can take a muddy rig and give it clarity, or turn a thin, scooped distortion into something that hits with serious authority.

The Mids and Sweep controls work together to put an enormous amount of tonal shaping at your fingertips. Mids determines whether you're boosting or cutting, while Sweep lets you move from low-mid warmth all the way into the higher mids where the bite and definition live. The Lo/Hi switch changes how focused that adjustment is, giving you either a broad, musical change or a much sharper frequency peak. And when you need to step forward, the Volume control provides up to a 10dB boost with the EQ flat.

The Haunting Mids really comes alive when you start pairing it with the rest of your rig. Push an amp that's just beginning to break up and you can coax out a thick, vocal midrange; put it in front of an overly scooped distortion and suddenly your riffs and lead lines have the bite they were missing.
