The Jackson Lee Malia LM-87 takes the vintage-inspired Surfcaster shape and turns it into a serious modern metal machine. The bound okoume body and neck give the guitar a warm, resonant foundation, while the thin open-pore finish keeps the feel natural and lively in your hands. Its offset shape and distinctive pickguard bring plenty of personality, but underneath the vintage styling is a guitar designed to handle aggressive riffing, heavy picking, and fast lead work.

The three-piece okoume set neck has a fast D profile that feels right at home when you're moving quickly across the fretboard. A 12"-16" compound-radius amaranth fingerboard makes the lower positions comfortable for rhythm playing while giving you the flatter feel you want for bends and shredding higher up the neck. The custom-wound Jackson LM-87 pickups deliver the power and definition needed for modern heavy tones, while the push-pull coil split gives you the option to pull back into a brighter, more focused sound when the music calls for it.

The TOM-style bridge, anchored tailpiece, and fine tuners give the LM-87 a solid foundation for low tunings and hard playing, keeping everything feeling dependable when you really dig in.
