Born from the collaboration between Jackson and one of modern metal’s most technically accomplished players, the Chris Broderick Soloist 7 is built for guitarists who demand absolute precision. Broderick — known for his time in Megadeth, Act of Defiance, and In Flames — approached Jackson with a clear goal: create an instrument that could keep pace with the most advanced riffing, sweeping, and high-gain articulation imaginable. The result is a purpose-built 7?string machine that reflects both Jackson’s high?performance DNA and Chris’s obsessive attention to detail.
This guitar’s tonal foundation begins with a mahogany body topped with flame maple, providing tight, controlled lows with just the right amount of upper?end snap. The through?body 3?piece maple neck, reinforced with graphite, offers exceptional stability under extreme tuning demands and aggressive tremolo use. A bound ebony fingerboard, stainless?steel frets, and a fast, satin?finished neck ensure that the instrument feels as smooth and effortless as it sounds. With a recessed Gotoh 1996T?7 double?locking tremolo and a Floyd?style locking nut, players can dive?bomb, flutter, and pull up without hesitation.
The real sonic magic comes from the DiMarzio CB7 humbuckers — Chris Broderick’s own signature pickups. Voice-designed for tight low-end clarity, articulate attack, and complex harmonic response, these direct?mounted pickups excel under high?gain conditions while still retaining musicality and note separation. With coil-splitting, a tone-engage push/pull, a 3-way toggle, and a dedicated kill-switch button, this guitar provides the breadth of control needed for modern metal styles, progressive genres, and experimental performance. From cutting rhythm tones to soaring lead runs, the Pro Plus Chris Broderick Soloist 7 is engineered to deliver professional results in any environment, and it’s available right now at Haggerty’s Music.
