The Novo Solus M1 is a wonderfully unconventional take on the single-cut electric guitar, pairing vintage-inspired character with the kind of individuality that makes you want to keep picking it up. The tempered German pine body gives it a lively, resonant foundation, while the medium-distressed TV Burst finish makes it look like an old favorite that has already lived a few stories. With a single Fralin Dogear P-90 at the bridge, the Solus M1 has a direct, punchy voice with plenty of grit, bite and harmonic character.

The chunky C-shaped tempered maple neck feels substantial without getting in the way, and the compound 9.5"-14" radius makes the transition from comfortable chord work to smoother lead playing feel completely natural. The 24.75" scale adds a slightly slinkier feel to the strings, while the jumbo frets and comfortable 1.6875" nut give your fretting hand plenty of room to dig in. There's something refreshingly straightforward about the control layout, too: just volume and tone, putting the focus squarely on your hands, your amp and that wonderfully responsive P-90.

From the compensated wraparound bridge to the Novo 18:1 tuners and aged-looking hardware, the Solus M1 feels like an instrument built with personality rather than convention in mind. It has enough raw character to shine through a loud rock arrangement, enough touch sensitivity for blues and roots playing, and the kind of unmistakable P-90 growl that makes simple riffs sound bigger than they should. If you're looking for a guitar that feels familiar but doesn't sound like everything else hanging on the wall, the Novo Solus M1 is a special one. Available now at Haggerty's Music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you set up every guitar before it ships?

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.

How accurate are your condition descriptions?

We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.

Can I call and speak to someone about a guitar before I buy?

Yes, and we encourage it. Our team are working musicians, not order-takers. Call us at 605-348-6737 and ask about any instrument in our inventory. We will physically pull it off the wall and describe it to you in detail.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 14-day return policy if you change your mind and the item is returned undamaged. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
