Available at Haggerty's Music, this 2026 model dresses the legendary SJ-200 silhouette in a Honey Burst finish over a AAA Sitka spruce top, paired with beautifully figured koa back and sides. Multi-ply binding, abalone appointments, gold hardware, and an intricately decorated SJ-200 pickguard give the guitar an unmistakably luxurious character, while the included Gibson Custom hardshell case provides proper protection for this exceptional instrument.

The SJ-200 story stretches back to 1937, when Gibson introduced its imposing Super Jumbo as a premium instrument designed to deliver both enormous acoustic presence and equally memorable looks. Over the decades, the design became associated with generations of country performers, singer-songwriters, folk musicians, and rock artists, earning its enduring “King of the Flat-Tops” reputation. The Elegant Koa builds upon that heritage with an especially compelling tonewood combination. Its AAA Sitka spruce top supplies headroom, articulation, and dynamic range, while koa contributes clear highs and a lively response with a tonal character that can gain additional warmth and complexity as the instrument is played. A decorative three-tone marquetry center strip further showcases the figured koa back.

A mahogany neck with Gibson's comfortable Round profile joins the body with a traditional dovetail joint, while the bound rosewood fingerboard carries 20 frets and graduated abalone crown inlays. The visual detailing continues to the bound headstock, where abalone Gibson and crown inlays complement gold Grover Rotomatic tuners. At the other end, Gibson's iconic rosewood two-bar Moustache bridge receives abalone rectangle inlays along with a TUSQ saddle and white TUSQ bridge pins.
