Every milestone deserves an instrument worthy of the legacy it celebrates. Available now at Haggerty's Music, the Gibson J-45 Anniversary Limited Edition commemorates 100 years of Gibson flat-top acoustic craftsmanship with a guitar that honors one of the most beloved acoustics ever created. Limited to just 100 copies worldwide as part of Gibson Custom's Anniversary Collection, this exceptional instrument blends historic design, premium materials, and modern stage-ready performance into a guitar destined to become tomorrow's heirloom.
Since its introduction in 1942, the J-45 has earned the nickname "The Workhorse" for good reason. Its warm, balanced voice and remarkable versatility have made it one of the most recorded acoustic guitars in history, serving generations of singer-songwriters, session musicians, and touring professionals. This Anniversary Limited Edition elevates that legacy with a visually stunning bear claw Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides, producing the familiar warmth, focused midrange, and rich projection that define the classic J-45 sound. Finished in an elegant Cremona Burst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, it features premium appointments including abalone top trim and rosette, a bound rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and gold Grover open-gear tuners that perfectly complement its commemorative aesthetic.
Built to perform as beautifully on stage as it does in the studio, the J-45 Anniversary Limited Edition comes equipped with the LR Baggs VTC pickup system, delivering an exceptionally natural amplified voice while maintaining the guitar's timeless appearance through discreet soundhole-mounted controls. A Gibson Custom hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity are included, making this rare Anniversary Collection instrument an outstanding opportunity for players and collectors alike. This commemorative J-45 stands as both a tribute to Gibson's first century of flat-top excellence and an inspiration for the next.
