Designed to replicate the legendary tone and aesthetic of Gibson’s first square-shouldered dreadnought, this guitar combines period-accurate craftsmanship with the stunning visual character of Murphy Lab aging. Featuring a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, the 1960 Hummingbird delivers warm, vintage tone with rich harmonic content and exceptional projection.

Its mahogany neck with a round profile, paired with a bound Indian rosewood fingerboard, ensures a smooth, familiar feel under the fingers. The cast Hummingbird pickguard with its classic artwork, combined with Gotoh Keystone tuners and gold-accented hardware, adds timeless elegance. Murphy Lab’s heavy-aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish provides the guitar with a road-worn charm and a broken-in feel that’s second to none.
