Produced from 1999 through 2007, the Urge II has earned a reputation as one of Fender's most feature-rich basses, equally comfortable on stage, in the studio, or anywhere tonal flexibility is essential.

At its core, the Urge II pairs a resonant alder body with a fast-playing maple neck carved to Stu Hamm's distinctive asymmetrical oval profile. The satin finish keeps the neck feeling smooth and comfortable, while the matching painted headstock gives the instrument a refined custom-shop aesthetic. A 24-fret rosewood fingerboard extends the playing range beyond traditional Fender basses, and the six-bolt sculpted neck joint improves stability while providing effortless access to the upper register. Every detail was designed with professional performance in mind.

Two Custom Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups work alongside a custom Precision Bass split-coil, creating an enormous range of sounds that can be shaped through an 18-volt active preamp, three-band EQ, pickup pan control, and three-position mini-toggle selector.
