There’s something undeniably powerful about plugging into a guitar that carries decades of tone, history, and stage-tested performance—and the Fender Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Dave Murray Stratocaster delivers exactly that. Built to honor both Dave Murray and the legacy of Iron Maiden, this instrument captures the spirit of one of heavy metal’s most iconic sounds. Finished in a sleek black gloss over an alder body, it feels equally at home under stage lights or in the studio, offering a look that’s as timeless as the music it was designed to create. You can experience this legendary instrument for yourself at Haggerty’s Music.
At its core, this Stratocaster is built for performance without compromise. A trio of Seymour Duncan pickups in an HSH configuration—featuring a ’59 neck, Antiquity Texas Hot middle, and JB Trembucker at the bridge—delivers a wide tonal range, from warm vintage cleans to aggressive, high-output lead tones. The 5-way switching system allows for seamless transitions between sounds, giving players the flexibility to move from articulate rhythm work to soaring solos with ease. Combined with a Floyd Rose R2 double-locking tremolo, this guitar is designed to stay perfectly in tune even through the most expressive dive bombs and bends.
The feel of this guitar is just as refined as its tone. A maple neck with a comfortable C shape pairs with a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard that transitions from 9.5 inches to 14 inches, making chords feel natural near the nut while allowing effortless bends higher up the neck. Medium jumbo frets and a 25.5-inch scale length provide familiar Strat playability with enhanced precision and speed, ideal for modern players who demand both comfort and control.
What truly sets this model apart is its attention to legacy. From the limited-edition 50th anniversary neck plate to the carefully selected features inspired by Dave Murray’s own touring guitars, every detail reflects a half-century of influence on the world of rock and metal. It’s more than just a signature model—it’s a tribute to a sound that shaped generations. Whether you’re chasing classic Maiden tones or carving out your own voice, this Stratocaster is ready for the stage, and it’s available now at Haggerty’s Music.
