The Fender Custom Shop NAMM 2026 Deluxe Heavy Relic HBS-1 Stratocaster captures the spirit of a well-worn classic with a striking twist, finished in aged vintage white that’s been artfully worn away to reveal a 3-tone sunburst beneath. This heavy relic treatment gives it the look and feel of a road-tested instrument with decades of history, while every detail reflects the precision and craftsmanship the Custom Shop is known for. It’s a guitar that feels instantly familiar, like it’s already lived a lifetime of music.
Built for NAMM 2026, this model stands as a showcase of what the Custom Shop does best—blending vintage inspiration with modern refinement. The alder body and thin nitro finish keep the tone open and resonant, while the quartersawn maple neck with a comfortable ‘65 Strat C profile offers a smooth, broken-in feel. Paired with an AAA rosewood fingerboard and narrow tall frets, it plays with a balance of vintage character and modern precision.
The HSS configuration expands its versatility, giving you classic Strat sparkle in the neck and middle positions with the added power and punch of a humbucker in the bridge. A Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck model humbucker anchors the bridge position with thick, articulate output, perfect for pushing into heavier tones while still blending seamlessly with the handwound ’69-style single coils.
From the premium hardware to the engraved neck plate and vintage-style appointments, every element adds to the overall character of the instrument. It’s not just about the look—it’s about the way it feels in your hands and responds to your playing. This is a Stratocaster built to inspire, combining the soul of a vintage piece with the flexibility and performance today’s players demand.
