The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1950 Double Esquire captures the raw spirit of Fender’s earliest electric guitar designs while adding the versatility and craftsmanship expected from a modern Custom Shop masterpiecew. Before the Telecaster became a household name, Fender’s original single-pickup Esquire helped define the sound of early electric guitar music with its cutting attack, dynamic responsiveness, and revolutionary solidbody construction. This rare Double Esquire configuration expands on that historic blueprint by combining two hand-wound Blackguard pickups with vintage-correct aesthetics, offering players the unmistakable snap and twang of a classic early-’50s Fender with added tonal flexibility.

Built from lightweight ash and finished in a beautifully aged Heavy Relic Wide Fade 2-Color Sunburst, this guitar feels every bit like a road-worn original that has spent decades on stages and in studios. The substantial 5/4 quartersawn maple neck features a chunky ’57 Soft “V” profile that delivers exceptional sustain and vintage-inspired feel, while the compound 7.25”–9.5” fingerboard radius offers classic comfort with modern playability.
