The Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster is a tribute to one of the most influential electric guitars ever built, capturing the unmistakable look, feel, and sound of a true early-'60s Strat. Every detail has been carefully recreated to deliver the playing experience that helped shape generations of music, from its comfortable medium C-shaped neck to the timeless elegance of its classic appointments. It's a guitar that instantly feels familiar, inviting you to lose yourself in every note.
Built with a resonant alder body and finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster offers the lively, open character that vintage Fender enthusiasts crave. The trio of Pure Vintage '61 single-coil pickups delivers everything from shimmering cleans and glassy rhythm tones to punchy blues and expressive lead sounds, all with the clarity and dynamic response that made the Stratocaster a legend. A slab rosewood fingerboard, vintage-accurate synchronized tremolo with a cold-rolled steel block, and bent steel saddles complete an instrument that not only looks authentic but responds with the unmistakable feel and resonance of the originals.
Whether you're a lifelong Strat player, a vintage enthusiast, or someone searching for an instrument that embodies the golden era of Fender, the American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster delivers an experience that's as inspiring today as it was more than sixty years ago. Built with exceptional attention to detail and uncompromising craftsmanship, it's a guitar worthy of its legendary heritage. Experience the Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster for yourself. Available now at Haggerty's Music.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you set up every guitar before it ships?
Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.
Can I call and speak to someone about a guitar before I buy?
Yes, and we encourage it. Our team are working musicians, not order-takers. Call us at 605-348-6737 and ask about any instrument in our inventory. We will physically pull it off the wall and describe it to you in detail.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 14-day return policy if you change your mind and the item is returned undamaged. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
