The Epiphone Alex Lifeson 1976 ES-355 Reissue captures the unmistakable character of one of progressive rock’s most iconic guitars. Its maple and poplar semi-hollow body, solid maple centerblock, and elegant multi-ply binding give it the look and resonance you expect from an ES-355, while the centerblock adds sustain and helps keep feedback under control when you turn things up. Finished in gloss Alpine White with gold hardware, it has an unmistakable stage presence that feels every bit as special as the instrument that inspired it.

The three-piece maple neck has a comfortable Slim C profile that makes it easy to move around the ebony fingerboard, whether you’re digging into Rush-inspired chords or stretching out on a lead. The 22 medium jumbo frets and large mother-of-pearl block inlays give it a classic ’70s feel, while the volute adds a period-correct touch and reinforcement at the headstock. Underneath it all, two USA-made Gibson T-Type humbuckers provide the heart of the Lifeson sound, delivering clarity, punch, and sustain with enough versatility to move from articulate clean passages to powerful, driven tones.

The electronics give you plenty of room to explore, with individual volume and tone controls, a three-way toggle, and a Varitone circuit that adds another dimension of tonal shaping. A dedicated mini toggle lets you engage or bypass the Varitone, while the gold Maestro Vibrola brings expressive pitch movement to chords and sustained notes. Add the harmonica-style Tune-O-Matic bridge, keystone-button tuners, custom hardshell case, and all the vintage-inspired details, and this is a remarkably complete tribute to Lifeson’s legendary instrument.
