The Epiphone 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola brings one of the most iconic SG eras to life with an impressive level of vintage character. Its center-seamed, two-piece mahogany body features the deep bevels and unmistakable double-cut silhouette that made the SG so comfortable to play, while the Vintage Gloss finish and nickel hardware give it the look of a classic instrument. Light in the hands and naturally resonant, this is a guitar that feels right at home whether you’re digging into crunchy rhythm parts or letting a lead line ring out.
The one-piece mahogany neck uses a comfortable ’60s SlimTaper profile that gives the SG a fast, familiar feel without becoming overly thin. A bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays complete the classic playing experience, while the long neck tenon adds stability and helps deliver the sustain you want from a great SG. The body’s sculpted contours make it exceptionally comfortable against you, giving the guitar a natural balance that encourages you to keep playing.
Two USA-made Gibson Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups provide the real vintage-inspired magic, delivering a lively, touch-sensitive response with plenty of warmth, bite, and harmonic detail. Hand-wired CTS controls, Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors, and Switchcraft components keep the electronics faithful to the era, while the Maestro Vibrola adds expressive pitch movement and unmistakable visual flair. Finished with vintage-style tuners, the Epiphone 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola is a beautifully executed tribute to a landmark SG. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument.
