The Epiphone Firebird captures the unmistakable attitude of one of Gibson's most distinctive designs, pairing its dramatic reverse body shape with a construction that gives the guitar plenty of sustain and resonance. The mahogany body wings feel substantial without getting in the way, while the 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body construction lets notes ring with a smooth, authoritative response. It's a guitar with plenty of personality before you even plug it in.

Once you do, the Gibson USA Firebird mini humbucker delivers the bright, articulate bite that makes the Firebird voice so recognizable. The Alnico 5 magnet gives it plenty of clarity and punch, making everything from gritty blues lines to classic rock riffs sound immediate and expressive. There's enough fullness to keep things powerful, but the focused character of the mini humbucker helps individual notes cut through without getting harsh.

The rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl dot inlays give the neck a classic, understated look, while the Kluson planetary geared "banjo" tuners complete the vintage Firebird personality.
