Designed for players who want rich, touch-sensitive drive without sacrificing clarity, the Electronic Audio Experiments Halberd V2.5 delivers a uniquely textured medium-gain voice that sits somewhere between tweed amp breakup, console saturation, and fuzzy harmonic grind. Built around EAE’s distinctive discrete transistor design, the Halberd adds its own unmistakable character while remaining incredibly responsive to different guitars, amps, and playing dynamics. Version 2.5 introduces several refinements, including smoother tapers on both the Pre and Depth controls for more gradual gain adjustment and finer low-end shaping, along with an added +3dB of maximum gain across all modes for even more saturation and punch when pushed hard. The three-position Voice switch lets players move from aggressive, cutting midrange tones to balanced vintage-style drive or thick, wooly fuzz-like textures, making the Halberd equally comfortable handling edge-of-breakup tones, gritty rhythm work, or saturated lead sounds.

Finished in the striking “Terran” enclosure, the Halberd V2.5 combines boutique craftsmanship with serious functionality for guitarists, bassists, and synth players alike. Silent electronic switching and the built-in Class A JFET buffer keep operation smooth and reliable, while the interactive control set offers extensive tonal shaping through the Pre, Depth, Tone, and Post controls.
