The BOSS Katana-Artist MkII takes the flagship Katana experience and gives it the extra refinement and flexibility that working players appreciate. Its 100-watt Class AB power section delivers plenty of punch and presence, while BOSS Tube Logic technology brings the feel and response of a cranked tube amp to a versatile solid-state design. At the center of its sound is a custom 12-inch Waza speaker, built to capture the smooth midrange, rich harmonic character, and dynamic response of a classic British stack speaker, with the power handling to keep up onstage. Paired with a wide-baffle cabinet and semi-closed back, it produces a focused, full-bodied sound with tight low end and the kind of presence that holds its own in a mix.

With five amp characters and a variation for each, the BOSS Katana-Artist MkII offers ten distinct starting points, from clean and responsive to thick, saturated overdrive. Five onboard effects categories give you a remarkably capable pedalboard right inside the amp, and BOSS Tone Studio opens the door to more than 60 effects, expanded EQ options, and deeper customization. Dedicated front-panel controls make it easy to shape your sound on the fly, with a three-way Contour switch, three customizable Global EQ settings, and a footswitchable Solo boost with its own level control. Eight Tone Setting memories let you save and recall complete setups, while variable Power Control makes it possible to enjoy the amp's rich, pushed response at more manageable volumes.

The BOSS Katana-Artist MkII is equally at home in a rehearsal room, recording setup, or demanding live rig. Mic'd cabinet emulation on the line, USB, and headphone outputs provides polished direct tones, with five Air Feel options available through BOSS Tone Studio. Its effects loop, external speaker connections, MIDI support, and compatibility with footswitches, expression pedals, and the GA-FC controller make it easy to build a flexible performance setup. For players who want an even bigger sound, Dual Link allows two amps to operate with independent settings from one foot controller, while Stereo Expand spreads stereo effects across a second Katana for a wide, immersive soundstage. From detailed tone shaping to expansive dual-amp setups, the BOSS Katana-Artist MkII delivers professional-level versatility without losing the immediacy of a great amp. Available now at Haggerty's Music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you set up every guitar before it ships?

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.

How accurate are your condition descriptions?

We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.

Can I call and speak to someone about a guitar before I buy?

Yes, and we encourage it. Our team are working musicians, not order-takers. Call us at 605-348-6737 and ask about any instrument in our inventory. We will physically pull it off the wall and describe it to you in detail.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 14-day return policy if you change your mind and the item is returned undamaged. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Financing options are available at checkout. Monthly payment options are designed to make high-ticket purchases more accessible without requiring full payment upfront.

How do you ship instruments?

Every instrument ships fully insured from our store in Rapid City, South Dakota. We offer free shipping on all website orders over $100. Guitars are packaged to survive transit, properly cased, braced, and protected.

We are currently the number one independent Taylor Guitars dealer in the world, an award we have received two years running for 2024 and 2025. We are also a Top 10 premium dealer for Martin, Gibson, and Fender.
