Its unidirectional condenser capsule focuses on the speaker’s voice while helping keep surrounding noise from competing with the message, making it a dependable choice for public address systems, paging, and intercom applications. A substantial metal base with rubber feet keeps the microphone steady on a desk or counter, while its distinctive low-profile design also allows it to be flush-mounted into a desktop for a clean, integrated installation.

A convenient push-to-talk button can be configured for either momentary or toggle operation, adapting easily to different paging routines, and a green LED provides a clear indication when the microphone is active. The PLE-1CS operates on 12–48V phantom power supplied by a compatible amplifier, keeping the setup straightforward without requiring a separate power supply.
