The BBE Green Screamer v2 takes the familiar character of the classic green overdrive circuit and reworks it from the ground up for a more transparent, versatile response. Built around a 4558 op-amp, it delivers the warm midrange focus and natural breakup that make this style of overdrive such a trusted companion, while opening up more room for your guitar and amplifier to speak. Whether you’re adding a touch of grit to a clean sound or pushing an already driven amp into richer saturation, the Green Screamer v2 offers a responsive, musical feel that rewards the nuances of your playing.

A three-position Deep switch gives you control over the pedal’s low-end character, making it easy to move between a tighter, more focused sound and a fuller, weightier response. The modified circuit helps preserve clarity as you adjust the drive, so chords retain their definition and single-note lines cut through with satisfying sustain. A switchable input buffer adds flexibility when integrating the pedal into different signal chains, helping you tailor its interaction with the rest of your rig and find the right feel for your pickups, cables, and other effects.

Designed with practical pedalboard use in mind, the Green Screamer v2 combines its expanded tonal range with a compact footprint that fits comfortably alongside your other favorites. Through-hole PCB construction reflects a traditional approach to circuit building, while true hardwire bypass keeps the signal path straightforward when the effect is disengaged. From subtle edge-of-breakup textures to a more pronounced overdrive that pushes your amp into its sweet spot, the BBE Green Screamer v2 brings a familiar sound into a more adaptable, modern package. Available now at Haggerty's Music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you set up every guitar before it ships?

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.

How accurate are your condition descriptions?

We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument. We encourage you to call us before purchasing if you want a detailed in-hand description of any specific guitar.

Yes, and we encourage it. Our team are working musicians, not order-takers. Call us at 605-348-6737 and ask about any instrument in our inventory. We will physically pull it off the wall and describe it to you in detail.
