A versatile ride should give a drummer precise definition when keeping time and enough flexibility to crescendo and open up when the music calls for it, and this used Zildjian 20" K Custom Hybrid Ride was designed to deliver both. Developed in collaboration with acclaimed Japanese drummer Akira Jimbo, the K Custom Hybrid concept combines contrasting surface treatments to create distinct response zones within a single cymbal. Its unlathed, buffed center emphasizes stick definition and a powerful bell, while the lathed outer section introduces additional spread and crashability.

At a medium weight class, the 20" Hybrid Ride balances articulation with enough flexibility to produce a broader wash when played toward the edge. The contrasting traditional and brilliant surface treatments are more than a visual signature: they support the cymbal's transition from the focused attack of its center to the more open response of its outer edge. That range makes it a strong fit for fusion, jazz, funk, progressive music, pop, rock, and studio work where a drummer may need clean ride patterns, an assertive bell, and crashable accents from the same cymbal. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.

How accurate are your condition descriptions?

We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument.
