The Gibson Custom Shop ’61 SG Standard Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged in Double Gold is a breathtaking recreation of one of Gibson’s most iconic designs — refined through decades of craftsmanship and artistry. Hand-aged by the world-renowned Murphy Lab, this Dealer Select model captures the look, feel, and sound of a vintage treasure that’s been loved and played for generations.

The solid mahogany body delivers that unmistakable SG resonance — punchy mids, smooth sustain, and shimmering clarity. Its 1961 Authentic Thin D-shaped neck offers effortless playability, while the bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays adds a touch of classic refinement. At the heart of this SG are a pair of Custombucker humbuckers, built with Alnico III magnets and unpotted coils for that authentic PAF-style warmth, sweetness, and harmonic bloom. From clean articulation to roaring drive, the tonal range is pure Gibson heritage.

Every detail is crafted to vintage perfection: a Historic Reissue ABR-1 bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Kluson Deluxe tuners, and black top-hat knobs with silver inserts.
