Built for the working guitarist who wants the directness of a Telecaster without being confined by vintage convention, the Fender American Professional Telecaster carries one of electric guitar's most enduring designs into a modern professional setting. More than seventy years after the Telecaster established Fender's solidbody formula, this American-made model preserves the snap, simplicity, and unmistakable character that made the original so influential while refining the details that matter during long sessions and demanding gigs. The deep Oxblood finish, black pickguard, rosewood fingerboard, and nickel/chrome hardware give this example a dark, sophisticated visual identity.
Its Deep C maple neck balances reassuring substance with a comfortable modern feel, aided by rolled fingerboard edges, Fender's smooth Super-Natural satin urethane finish, and a sculpted heel that makes upper-register playing more inviting. The bridge represents an especially useful evolution of traditional Telecaster hardware, combining three compensated brass saddles with both top-load and string-through routing. Players can choose the setup and string response they prefer while retaining the lively attack and brass-saddle character closely associated with classic Telecasters. Narrow Tall frets and a rosewood fingerboard further contribute to a guitar designed for everything from expressive bending and lead work to rhythm playing night after night.
The V-Mod III single-coils retain the Telecaster's essential twang, snap, and bite while offering the articulation and versatility expected from a contemporary professional instrument. Traditional three-way switching provides the familiar bridge, combined, and neck voices, but a push-push tone control adds series operation for a fuller, more powerful sound when the standard Tele palette needs extra weight. That combination makes the American Professional Telecaster equally convincing for country and roots music, blues, rock, indie, pop, alternative, and session work. It remains unmistakably a Telecaster, immediate, responsive, and straightforward, but expands the classic formula in ways that make it especially capable as an everyday professional instrument. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
