Players who want an instrument that stands out both visually and historically will immediately connect with this 2003 Fender Special Edition Splatter Stratocaster, available now at Haggerty’s Music. Built as part of a limited FSR run from Fender’s Ensenada factory, this model takes the timeless Stratocaster platform and injects it with bold, artistic personality — making it as much a statement piece as it is a player’s guitar.
What truly sets this instrument apart is its hand-painted splatter finish layered over Dakota Red, ensuring that no two guitars are exactly alike. Each instrument from this short-lived run carries its own unique pattern, giving it a one-of-a-kind, gallery-worthy aesthetic. As these models become harder to find, they’ve developed a growing following among collectors and players who appreciate Fender’s more experimental and creative projects.
Beyond its striking appearance, this Stratocaster delivers the familiar feel and tone that have made the model a cornerstone of modern music. The alder body and traditional SSS pickup configuration provide classic chime, clarity, and versatility, while the comfortable Modern “C” neck and 9.5" radius fingerboard offer smooth, approachable playability. Whether you’re drawn to it for its collectible nature or its reliable performance, this Splatter Strat is a rare blend of artistry, history, and everyday usability.

Yes. Every guitar that leaves our store has been professionally inspected, set up, and signed off by the technician who worked on it. You will find a signed checklist inside the box when your order arrives.
How accurate are your condition descriptions?
We treat condition grading as a contractual promise, not an approximation. When we list something as excellent, that reflects a specific, consistent standard we apply across every instrument.
