The Gibson Mary Ford Les Paul Standard is more than a rare signature guitar — it’s a tribute to one of the most innovative musical pioneers of the 20th century. Mary Ford, best known as half of the groundbreaking duo Les Paul & Mary Ford, was a world-class guitarist, vocalist, and early studio visionary whose mastery of overdubbing and harmony helped define the sound of the early 1950s. At the height of their success, the pair sold millions of records and changed the course of modern recording with techniques still used today. Her influence extended beyond the studio; in the late ’50s, she inspired a unique custom Les Paul fitted with a floral ES?295–style pickguard and matching armrest — a one-off instrument long talked about in vintage circles but never available to the public until now.

This modern recreation captures everything that made that original special: the Goldtop finish paired with a Vintage Cherry back, the ornate floral appointments, and a tonewood recipe rooted firmly in Golden Era Gibson tradition.
